MAGNUM is an Atlanta based, full service lighting, audio, video & staging company providing rental, sales, permanent installation and productions services to the concert, corporate, theater, houses of worship, and special events communities.

MAGNUM is seeking an experienced, energetic and talented individual for a full-time Assistant Rental Manager position in our Rental and Production Department.

The responsibilities of this position are to assist in daily operations of the rental division. You will be assisting the Rental Manager in day-to-day responsibilities such as taking rental calls and parlaying with other departments to ensure necessary equipment is available. You will implement rental software in everyday activity as well as apply solutions to maintain budgets. Success in this position requires a well rounded individual with exceptional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities Include: (but not limited to)

  • Assist the Rental Manager by taking rental calls.
  • Liaison between Rental Manager and shop management.
  • Responsible for ensuring necessary equipment is available to the Production Department and sub-renting any additional equipment needed.
  • Make monthly rental sales calls to develop long term rental clients.
  • Facilitate all rental equipment repairs, ensuring an efficient process and quick turnaround of damaged gear.
  • Assist the Rental Manager in maintaining an accurate inventory of all rental and production equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Must excel in customer service.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Be a great listener, a problem solver and communicator.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure to assure the success of your team and project.
  • Knowledge of entertainment technology and manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of accepted practices and principles in entertainment technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post secondary education.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Live Entertainment or related industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with equipment rental process.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, IntelliEvent a plus.
